Technical details on methodology, integration, and expected outcomes.
SteerCraft acts as your remote execution partner for crop steering. We help cultivation teams improve consistency, quality, and yield by optimizing how plants respond to stress throughout the growth cycle. We do this by interpreting your facility's data and biological indicators, then providing daily steering directives to your team.
Yes. Software executes predefined logic or recipes. SteerCraft interprets biological response. Software can tell you that your dryback was 15%, but it cannot tell you if the plant liked that dryback based on its current cellular expression. We work alongside your existing tools to adjust strategy as conditions change.
Consultants advise. We execute. A consultant might visit your facility, leave you with a binder of recommendations, and check in monthly. SteerCraft is in your data every single day, making real-time steering decisions and adjusting strategy based on what the plants are actually doing.
We integrate with your existing environmental controls and substrate monitoring systems. This typically includes climate data (temp, humidity, VPD, CO2), irrigation logs (volume, frequency, EC, pH), and substrate sensors (moisture content, EC). We don't require any new hardware—we work with what you have.
For maximum precision, we prefer substrate sensors per zone and irrigation controllers capable of multi-event pulsing. However, SteerCraft is a methodology, not a hardware constraint. We optimize operations ranging from fully automated facilities to those running simple timers and manual spot checks.
Most facilities are fully integrated within 5-7 business days. This includes data pipeline setup, baseline calibration, and team training. We run a parallel observation period during your first cycle to establish biological baselines before taking full steering control.
Yes. We've integrated with Aroya, Growlink, Priva, Argus, Trolmaster, and most major platforms. If you're using a custom or proprietary system, we can typically build an integration within your onboarding window.
Results vary by facility baseline, but our clients typically see 15-25% yield improvements, measurable increases in cannabinoid and terpene expression, and dramatically improved batch-to-batch consistency. Most importantly, they see these results replicate across rooms and across cycles.
You'll see directional improvements within your first steered cycle. Statistically significant, repeatable results typically emerge by cycle 2-3 as we dial in your facility's specific biological responses and environmental signatures.
We offer a performance guarantee. If you don't see measurable improvement in yield or quality metrics by the end of your second full cycle under our management, we'll refund your service fees for that period. We're confident because we've never had to honor this guarantee.
Each morning, your head grower receives a Steering Brief—a clear, actionable set of directives for the day. This includes irrigation adjustments, climate targets, and any observations from the previous day's data. We're also available via direct message for real-time questions or anomalies.
Primarily your head grower or cultivation manager. They're the ones executing the daily directives. We also recommend a monthly sync with facility leadership to review performance metrics and strategic adjustments.
We monitor your data streams continuously. If we detect anomalies that suggest equipment failure or environmental crisis, we alert your team immediately with recommended countermeasures. We're an extra set of eyes—not a replacement for your on-site team's judgment.
